Djanogly City Academy achieves 'outstanding' for sixth form and 'good' in all other areas in new Ofsted report
13th January 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly, may I wish you all a very happy New Year. I hope you have good health and prosperity throughout 2025 and beyond.
You will be aware that Ofsted visit all schools every few years to monitor their effectiveness. We were very much due a visit, not having been inspected since 2018. It is therefore with great pleasure and proudness that I share with you the report from our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place during 3 rd and 4th December. The report arrived in school last week to allow for me to check for factual accuracy and was released for publication by Ofsted last Friday afternoon. This is now the final version and will be published on the Ofsted reports website towards the end of this week ending 17th January.
In this current Ofsted framework, there is no longer an overall grade for effectiveness, just grades for the separate key areas of ‘Quality of Education’, ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’, ‘Personal Development’, ‘Leadership and Management’ and also for the sixth form provision. And whilst we do not work for Ofsted acclaim, rather for the happiness and success of your children, it is nonetheless welcome to receive such a wonderful endorsement of what we all -scholars, students, staff and you – do to ensure that our children Achieve: No excuses. The opening two paragraphs on page 2 of the report sum Djanogly City Academy up really well indeed. I feel that the report in its entirety reflects our great academy very accurately.
Thank you once again for your unswerving support. Please congratulate your child/ren on my behalf for their amazing achievements.
Warm regards,
Andy Smith
Principal
